Business with the poor, Creating value for all(publication)
The first report of UNDP’s Growing Inclusive Markets Initiative and the first such one with such depth and local knowledge, Creating Value for All showcases 50 studies by researchers predominantly from developing countries. These case studies demonstrate the successful pursuit of both revenues and social impact by local and international small- and medium-sized companies, as well as multinational corporations.
Creating Value for All highlights five strategies used successfully to overcome the most common obstacles to doing business with the poor, as well as two new tools: a strategy matrix to help find potential solutions to common constraints and heat maps that identify opportunities by depicting access to water, credit, electricity or telephone service in a specific geographical area using color codes.

التقرير الوطني الأول لتنافسية الاقتصاد السوري 2007(publication)
يهدف التقرير الوطني الأول لتنافسية الاقتصاد السوري 2007، إلى تسليط الضوء على الواقع الحالي لتنافسية الاقتصاد السوري، وقدرته على مواجهة التحديات التي تفرضها عملية الانتقال نحو اقتصاد السوق الاجتماعي، لجهة الانفتاح على العالم وتحرير التجارة والتنافس في الأسواق المحلية والخارجية والقدرة على جذب المزيد من الاستثمارات بما يحقق أهداف النمو المستدام وعدالة التوزيع.
يتألف التقرير من قسمين رئيسيين وملحقين، القسم الأول يتحدث عن التنافسية في الفكر والأدبيات الاقتصادية، وهو يضم ثلاثة فصول، يُعنى القسم الثاني من التقرير بتنافسية الاقتصاد السوري، ويتألف من ثلاثة فصول أخرى. يعرض الملحق الأول مؤشرات تنافسية الاقتصاد السوري (2006- 2007) وفق منهجية المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي أما الملحق الثاني فيقارن مؤشرات التنافسية للجمهورية العربية السورية مع مجموعة مختارة من الدول العربية والإقليمية والدولية.

Innovative approaches to promoting womens economic empowerment(publication)
The publication focuses on three core areas: womens economic opportunity; womens legal status and rights; and womens voice and participation in economic decision-making and concludes with a set of (key ingredients) for success. UNDP regional service centers and country offices contributed with approaches from Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, the Pacific, the DRC, Ghana, India, Liberia, Morocco, Syria and Turkey.

THE FAMILY HEALTH SURVEY IN THE SYRIAN ARAB REPUBLIC(report)
The Syrian Family Health Survey document was signed (SFHS) between the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) and the Pan Arab Project for Family Health (PAPFAM) under the umbrella of the League of the Arab States (LAS). It was undertaken in accordance with the national policies that aim at developing ealth conditions of the Syrian population, and according to the Arab States commitment and decisions regarding developmental issues to enable Ministries and concerned national bodies and research centers to obtain reliable data in due time which are necessary for planning and for the follow-up of family health objectives in general and health development programmes ,in a scientific and cost effective manner, in particular.
